Azure DNS

1 min read

Azure DNS is a hosting service for DNS domains, providing name resolution using Microsoft Azure infrastructure. It allows you to manage your DNS records and resolve domain names to IP addresses using the same tools and resources you use to manage your other Azure services. Azure DNS also provides built-in redundancy and high availability, as well as a global network of DNS servers to ensure fast and reliable name resolution for your domains.
To use Azure DNS with your on-premises DNS infrastructure, you can set up a DNS forwarder in Azure to forward DNS queries from your on-premises DNS servers to Azure DNS. This allows your on-premises DNS servers to use Azure DNS for name resolution for specific domains or for all domains. You can also set up conditional forwarders to forward queries for specific domains to specific DNS servers, depending on the domain name. This allows you to use Azure DNS for some domains and your on-premises DNS servers for others.
